Guests are guided on foot through The Elephant Sanctuary. Guides will provide in-depth information and insight into African elephants. You will be introduced to our elephants in the forest area, and here you will be able to touch and interact with the elephants. You will see the special relationship that the elephant handlers share with their elephants and become a part of it. Walk amongst our elephants in the bush. See the Elephant Night Shelters. Guests learn about elephant anatomy and are able to feed them. Remember to wear flat walking shoes, sun hats and bring your camera.

From the entering the sanctuary, we were greeted by very friendly staff, from the gift shop to the caretakers. The experience we had was like no other! I was very emotional throughout the trip. I thank the caretakes and the staff for the work they do with the Elephants - Nicolene

We spent a wonderful morning with our guide James (007) and all the keepers and elephants. We were on the 8am brush down tour so were privileged to interact with elephants while learning about them up close. Feeding them, walking with them, touching them and being up close with such magnificent animals is an amazing experience. James was so interesting and knowledgeable about them and was also great fun as a guide. I had visited 2 years ago so it was nice to reconnect with Kiumba. The tour was slightly different but I think for the better with more elephant interaction and even an elephant kiss. Would thoroughly recommend the whole experience. - Jo
