Customer Reviews

I really enjoyed the time with the elephants and appreciate the amazing work that the sanctuary does to ensure that they get the best care they can get. It is great to see that these magnificent animals can be treated with respect! - Matt Twilley

Great to be able to touch an elephant. And good that the elephants have a lot of freedom in between they have to deal with the tourists. I know that it was only for my satisfaction to get in contact with the elephant. The elephants are not interested in us. I can understand because we are strangers to them. The organisation is very good. Also our stay in the lodge in the park was very good. There was a man helping us were ever he could. Great guy. So glad to have touched the elephant. I am from Holland so I have to keep it in mind for a long long time. I adore these animals. I have seen lots of them in the Kruger afterwards. The world cannot without them: we have to take care of them very very well. - Marianne Hofman

Dear valued staff members of the elephant sanctuary, On the 23rd June, we had the most amazing opportunity to get away from city life into the nature, yet at the same time were able to learn about the majestic animal and their life in the wilderness. It has been a life changing experience, since I invited a group of five people that are part and parcel of our project in the prison community. Those visitors have not the means to ever get that close to the elephant experience. They have learned to overcome huge amount of fear. They admired your staff members, on how they work with the animals and were inspired and very grateful for even the teaching of the elephants. Their lives have been changed towards developing more compassion and putting more value towards nature in general. It was worth it all the way. The photos are a precious memory to keep. - Ellen Andreae

Elephants and meerkat are my favorite animals and at 58 years old, I had never been closer than an observer from a car in Kruger Park. This was a once in aife time experience which Ill never forget. Our guide (Joe?) was awesome! He was highly professional friendly, knowledgeable, very funny and spoke clearly. Touching the elephants was astonishing! Thank you so much for the whole experience. - James Macaulay
