The elephant encounter was a Stunning experience, best African encounter to date. We didn't feel rushed. The organizers were professional and experienced and made us feel safe at all times. A truly beautiful and memorable highlight for us. Hard to top. The monkeys were adorable and such fun. Our guide fantastic. The only thing we were dissapointed with in the package deal was that it didn't offer a feeding for the monkeys. Our guide organized a bowl for us which was essential for this encounter as the monkeys are food driven and you won't have them near you if another tour group nearby has food. It's inexpensive to add a bowl to the experience and should be strongly advised and included when purchasing the package deal. There is some steep walking and swing bridge crossing with great views. We were grouped with an older slower group of people who didn't manage the walk well and it slowed us down. It would be good to offer a flatter route for older mobility impaired people at the start so they know what they're in for. The lion safari was 2 hours and also well worth it. This is a fantastic option for those not going to visit a big game reserve. You still get the safari encounter close to Johannesburg. There are lots of other animals to see also. The guides were very informative and created lots of photo opportunities for us. The package deal of all 3 activities was a great use of time. Everything covered in 1 day and a short distance from Johannesburg. We started our encounter in Hartebeespoort at 10am followed by the monkeys, then drove to the lion park for a 2.30pm start. In hindsight we would do the 8am start to allow for more time in the settlement as there is also a reptile park to see. - Tamara

I absolutely loved it. Our guide Richard was very informative and knowledgeable of the magnificent creatures we were blessed to be in the presence of. The gentleman Kuda and the rest of the crew were wonderful and ensured we were in gear care and enjoyed our time with the gentle giants. - Cortney

Absolutely amazing experience to be so upclose and have such an intimate experience with the Elephant's and Monkey's. This day was a particular highlight of our time in South Africa. The guides were so knowledgeable and accomodating throughout the day. The Sanctuary itself was beautifully maintained, landscape views and tour around the property was also an enjoyable walk.
